Fruit Share

20110617-090100.jpg

We are one day into our CSA fruit share, and I'm already loving it. We had a bowl of cherries yesterday afternoon, and I'm eating delicious nectarines for breakfast. Looking forward to pineapple tomorrow morning!

Parents at the park

I used to feel bad for kids whose parents talked on the phone or read books at the park instead of playing with them.

Now I understand it. It's the only time the kids are doing something else and will leave me alone for 15 minutes to get something done.

Aging

I don't think I care about getting older; supposedly I'm getting wiser.

However, along with wiser, I'm getting wrinklier. And that I do mind.

The move

We got out of the apartment on Apr 28 and then spent 5 fun days with Jeremy's sister and her family. Jeremy & Amy did some long-ish workouts and we spent lots of time in the pool.

And I spent lots of time "figuring things out" with the car mover.

We left Pinecrest at 5:30 am on may 2--Jeremy's birthday. Poor guy had to spend his entire birthday in the car. We did get celebratory ice cream cones in TN when we stopped for dinner. At a quick potty stop in Kentucky, Ivy said "it's so cold. Even the ground is cold."

We got to the house around 9 am on Tuesday. And we're never making the drive to or from Florida in one day again. Ugh! Jamey cried for 5 hours straight!

But now, the movers have delivered all our stuff. We managed to find sheets and blankets for the beds. The kids keep asking for a movie, so we might have to find the Playstation right away.

In the 4 days we've been here, we've made two trips to urgent care--both kids have infections--and I spent two days on the verge of death (if you can die from a cold). Hopefully, we're all on the mend.

I love my bed.
