As part of Jeremy's monthly goals this year, we did not eat out at all in Sept.
I thought it was going to be very very hard. Turns out, it wasn't.
We've been having a rough time with the kids at restaurants anyway, so it was nice to have a real reason to skip eating out with them. Seriously, the kids do not eat a thing when we're out. It's a total waste of money to buy meals for them. Also, they've gotten really squirrelly so it's stressful to try to keep them still--even long enough to eat at Chipotle. Oh, and Livy has picked up this really great screech. Yowzer! She's loud, and she thinks she's super funny.
I am surprised that it doesn't feel like we have loads of extra cash--normally, we eat out (or order in) a lot. I expected that we'd have buckets of money laying around after this month. I don't know what we're spending it on instead. Maybe Jeremy has a secret stash somewhere.
Also, it seems like "They" always say that if you want to lose weight, you should eat at home more than eating out. I don't think it's helped my cause at all.
We are actually extending "no eating out" until we leave for Florida, because that was a more concrete stopping point for the kids to understand.
