Le Leche has suggested that Ivy is having a little growth spurt and that's why all she's wanted to do the last couple days is eat and NOT sleep. There is really nothing to do about her wanting to be held except to 1. Hold her; or 2. Let her cry it out. Maybe I'll try the sling again today.
I'm still sore and cracked, but hopefully things are on the mend. I might pump on the right side for a day or two to let that heal up. Then I think all the wounds will be closed. We have conquered thrush! If I can get rid of these open wounds, I think our breast feeding problems will be solved.
