Too Much TV?

There has been a lot of talk lately about how much media exposure kids have these days. Some estimate 11 hours a day between tv, movies, video games, and music.

Every now and then Jeremy will play video games, but not too often any more. We rarely watch movies, but we do watch a lot of tv. I'm starting to feel guilty about how much. Anywhere from 2-4 hours every night after the kids go to bed. And to be honest, by the end of the day, I'm so excited to sit on the couch and watch some gritty crime drama.

It's not like all we do is watch tv. Jeremy works all day, does bath & bedtime with Ivy and Jamey, works out anywhere from 30-90 minutes most days. I read, run, and do all the house and kid stuff during the day. When Livy starts going to sleep on her own, I'll get back to stitching, too.

This is the list of shows we record. It seems like a lot, so maybe we'll pare it down. At least we don't have to watch it just because we record it.
